These are the sections of Loud Mouth Brown Girl that I am most proud of. Each of these projects is the dream of a little girl who thought she was too fat to model (thank you Tyra and Ashley) and too ashamed to e strong. Learning to see my weaknesses as strengths was difficult but not impossible. So here it is. The Roots of Loud Mouth Brown Girl.
Project Self Understanding
My art is as conventional as it gets, but that's because the fact that I get to make art at all is a fluke. I only started doing it because people said I only wanted money. What I wanted, and what I continue to want, is the freedom to be myself.
Project Me Too
It took me a really long time to learn that being a soldier was more than just being enlisted in the government's army. And yet the government's army had a profound effect on me growing up. One I'm still starting to understand at this ripe age.
Project Me Too...Too
I didn't know I could be an artist because I couldn't make my hands move the way that my brain wanted them to move. Technology like PicMonkey, Canva, Adobe, Paint Shop Pro, and MidJourney has changed the game for artists, allowing billions more to explain themselves in trillions of new ways. I designed this piece using MidJourney, and it's so cool because it feels like a self portrait.
Project Digital Scrap Art
The layering of textures, backgrounds, colors, and images has always been my only real way to create things, and so sometimes I'll have someone draw a base image and work around that to create something rand new that includes the base. This is the work that allows me to lose myself in the colors and actions of creating, it's the most helpful and profound way for me to communicate with the universe.
Project Saint Mary Eri
This peice is a work of art. The background is the only part that I claim though, the original render was gifted to be mine by my friend Mike from WhatsMyPot.com which is a really great site filled with cannabis reviews. I love this piece because it's added to the Faerie collection on LoudMouthBrownGirl.com
Project Siddha Lee Saint James
You'll find a lot of these images in my work. She is Siddha Lee Saint James, my alter ego. A soldier from a majickal realm, Siddha dreams of being free, but she's constantly dragged through time and space to solve problems that aren't her shit to deal with, which always causes problems for her and those she loves. So, via la Siddha.
